In the heart of a forgotten kingdom stood a castle draped in ivy, its halls echoing with silence. Within its stone walls, a girl was born—not cradled by parents, nor greeted by servants. She was alone, her cries swallowed by the vast chambers.
As years passed, the castle itself seemed to raise her. The chandeliers flickered when she took her first step, as if applauding. The long dining table filled itself with bread and fruit when she learned to eat. The courtyard bloomed with wildflowers when she discovered how to play.
One day, curiosity tugged at her heart. Barefoot, she wandered to the heavy oak doors. With trembling hands, she pushed them open. Sunlight spilled across her face for the first time, warm and golden.
Outside, a meadow stretched endlessly. And there—standing among the daisies—was another girl. She looked just like her: same curious eyes, same untamed hair.
The castle-born girl gasped.
“Who… who are you?”
The meadow-girl smiled softly.
“I am you, but free. I’ve been waiting.”
Her voice was like wind through leaves, gentle yet certain.
“But I’ve always been alone,” whispered the castle-girl, clutching her hands together.
“Not alone,” the meadow-girl replied, stepping closer. “The world was waiting for you to step outside. And now, you’ve found me.”
The two girls touched hands, and in that moment, the castle’s silence broke. Birds sang, rivers whispered, and the air shimmered with magic.
Together, they laughed—two halves of the same soul, finally united.
